Phoenix Has Risen 2016 Wrap Up

Phoenix Has Risen 2016 has been run and won!
Congratulations to Fossils taking the championship title over Murdoch. Crabs came away with the bronze and Esperance were named Spirit of the Game Winners.

A total of 151 players across 10 teams competed over the weekend and it was the first time ever the event has been held outside the Perth metropolitan area.

This year the event was held at the Meadow Springs Sporting Facility thanks to the City of Mandurah and Sports Marketing Australia. Special thanks to Rubixwear for donating our Spirit of the Game and MVP prizes and of course supplying our player gifts this year.

MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the amazing staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly in the lead up and during the event. Anna Haynes, Shannon Carpenter, Reyer Carpenter, Annie Jessop, Rhiannon Coad, Candace Lines for all thier running around over the weekend, our Line Assistants Steve Baker, Kristofer Wright and Gemma Baker and the entire WAWAs team on pack up and set up duties each day.

All the results from the 2016 Phoenix Has Risen (WA Mixed Ultimate Championship) can be found here.
