CONGRATULATIONS to our 2018 WA Flying Disc Association Award Winners.
For the 2018 Edition, it was decided that the annual awards be delayed to our Special General Meeting on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 allowing our new Board to present the awards at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
All WAFDA members are invited to attend the 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM).This years AGM will be held on Thursday the 8th of August from 6:30pm. Unlike previous years the AGM will not be held at our annual State Championships, the reason for this is to ensure the newly elected board have sufficient time to make travel arrangements to the AFDA National Conference held in Sydney from the 21st to 22nd of September. Regional WAFDA members will be provided the opportunity to join the meeting via teleconference.
Disc Graceful Ultimate will be holding our first ever charity hat tournament to raise funds to donate to various organizations!
The event will be on 17 August from 9am to 4pm. Location TBC. We hope to increase awareness and share about what these organizations do, some of which include MSF Doctors Without Borders, Breast Cancer WA and Alzheimer's WA.
Each team will represent a charity and the profit from the tournament will be distributed to the organizations, depending on the teams' performance for the day.
All skill levels welcome. Help us reach our goal of 8 teams!

Our sport does not exist or move forward with the hard work of awesome volunteers.
Sometimes we just need new voices, sometimes we need specialised skills, sometimes we just need some extra hands to help move things along. What ever we need we will list it here! If you can help please contact us and tell us how.
High Performance Committee Members
WA Ultimate are currently looking for 3-4 members to join the High Performance Committee to assist WA Ultimate in improving and overseeing all state team campaigns and the WA Ultimate Academy. Members will be appointed by the Director of High Performance and the Executive Committee. More details on the positions can be found here. School Sports WA Reference Panel Members
Are you a Primary or High School Teacher who loves Ultimate? Want to help establish a WA and Australian based competition for Primary and High School Students?
We are looking for a team of volunteer teachers to help build a reference committee who will help develop guidelines, strategies and procedures in accordance with School Sports WA, to create a School Sports competition for both Primary and High School Students.
Currently we have a WA Ultimate run event – the High School Ultimate Championships, Check it out! We also have our event details on the School Sports WA website. We would like to expand this event to be co-ordinated by WA Ultimate, our reference panel and supported by School Sports WA.
WA Ultimate are currently looking for an Events Officer to assist with key WA Ultimate sanctioned events. We are looking for a person that is well organised and a good communicator.
Some key responsibilities of the Events Coordinator include: advertising for and appointing Tournament Hosts, planning an annual events calendar, promoting the events and booking locations for the events.
'Phoenix Has Risen' is the alternative name given to the WA State Mixed Ultimate Championships.
This year’s event will be held on September 7th-8th and will be hosted by Bunbury Ultimate. Bunbury Ultimate Club successfully hosted the Championship in 2018 and is excited to see the competition return to the City of Bunbury in 2019.
The WA Flying Disc Association is calling a Special General Meeting (SGM) with the main purpose to vote on the Association's new constitution.
The location will be the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, at 246 Vincent St, Leederville WA 6007. Virtual meeting functionality will be available.
