The AFDAhave announced their qualification procedures for the 2018 World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC).
The AFDA receives an allocation of bids to attend these tournaments from the World Flying Disc Federation. As yet, AFDA have not been informed of these bid allocations.
In order to determine which clubs will receive a bid to these club world events, AFDA will run a World Ultimate Club Championships - Qualification Tournament (WUCC- QT) in Melbourne on 2-3 December 2017.
Although called a qualification tournament, it will also act as a ranking/seeding tournament for WUCC 2018 and WMUCC 2018 for those teams successful in qualifying.
See here for more information about the procedure.
“We expect participation from club teams from nearly 50 countries in 2018, and the experienced organizers, who have hosted 21 major ultimate tournaments over the past 10 years, are expected to put on an incredible event,” said WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch.
The World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC) will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA from 14 to 21 July 2018. The World Masters Ultimate Club Championships (WMUCC) will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada from 29 July to 4 August 2018.
