Phoenix 2014 Wrap Up

Phoenix Has Risen 2014 has been run and won!
Congratulations to Cabs Are Here taking the champion title for the third year in a row. UWA A in second positon, ISO ME with the bronze and Murdoch Empire were named Spirit Winners.

A total of 199 players across 13 teams competed over the weekend including, for the first time ever, the Broome Cyclones who made the trip down from the far North West to compete. It’s amazing how this tournament has grown to be a true State event with Bunbury and Mandurah entering teams for the past few years and now our friends from far up North.

49 games were played over the weekend at the fantastic venue at John XXII College in Mt Claremont, the weather proved an extra challenge to our awesome crew who worked the event all weekend. Team “North” took honours in the annual North v South feature game on Saturday afternoon.

MASSIVE THANK YOU to WA Ultimate Events Director Annie Jessop on her efforts with coordinating the event. Special mention to Anna Haynes, Sam Dickson, Monte Masarei, Jack Morris, Quinlan Oh, Bec Lorraine for their support in all the behind the scenes work necessary to bring an event this size to life.
